Let’s Get Serious: What’s With All The Pink?
Okay… this is gonna be funny.
In a recent the following statement was made:
I’m increasingly intrigued by the number of women in SEO who incorporate sexuality in their brand identity. Blogs are pink, use sexy images and vernacular, and just ooze “girl power.”
Do I offend? I address this issue in the thread because I almost had a moral responsibility to comment on this “issue”.

I can`t believe there are some male graphic designers and people that doesn`t like work with the pink color `cause…”it`s pink”. Closed minds. Pink it`s a great color for working with graphics. I agree Pink is not necesarely related to sex…or girly things only. Pink is suitable for other purposes ;) And…,yes, the little bear it`s pretty sexy ;)

Well, the bear was recently featured in Hustler, but I am trying to keep that under wraps because I did not approve at all! Pink is a great colour, it is vibrant and fun. Pink is a “girly” colour I suppose, but that does not mean it is not great. Girly is great - girly means clever, friendly, vibrant IMHO.
Hernan - you and I together will make PINK a colour to be reckoned with.

Do! They are talking about you too, after all. And it is important for you to show them what a smart and savvy young woman you are and that being pink and girly is a style choice that you make work for you. :)

Pink definitely not offensive. The Cre8asite thread may be right that some people won’t “get it”, and you could lose some business from looking not serious enough. But I love it. I know there are some succesful women SEOs, but it is such a man’s world. seoisforgirls - yaay

Hey, if they are not capable of dealing with the pink, then they are probably not capable of dealing with the things you have to do to get noticed online these days. I figure if I lose business because of my less than typical site, it’s business I did not want in the first place. ;)
The seoisforgirls domain is just me being ultra-ironic… because clearly it is not “for girls”. But in London Ontario, it’s just a matter of time before it is “for girls”.
